First week at Istanbul

I was standing at the airport's entrance door at new delhi in india and was wondering if I can do this or not.My mind was filled with thoughts of turning
around and going back to my house.Person like me who has never stayed alone in her own country has to go all the way to Istanbul and live there for 2 months
for internship.Thinking about this gave me goosebumps and i was scared like anything, what if i lose my passport or all my money is gone or deported back to
the country.I just tried to clear my mind of these kind of thoughts and took a deep breath and entered telling myself that i am adult enough to manage
evrything and i will do it!!! so i m here in istanbul right now with lots of expectations with myself to do something constructive or do sumthn that I should
be proud of.

The cab drive from Ataturk airport to the dorm gave me a thrill about the place and all aches from the journey felt worth coming down here.Dorms didnt make me
feel anything different as they are pretty much similar to the dorms I m living in my country.People in istanbul like watching indian serials and movies
was something I was not expecting at all. This country ,so beautifully possess the culture of two different continents as one .I couldnt resist the first day
itself and went to roam around outside ,somewhere on the streets.

The company where i m doin my internship is Zeitin which has very attractive technologies as their products and was also one of my reason to choose internship
here.I enterd the company first day with a bit inquisitive or wierd feeling that how the company is going to be?? how people in the company r going to be??
how i should interact with them ??are they going to like my work or not??--so basically stupid endless list of questions .When i enterd the office i had no
idea who is working here and who is an intern here ,everyone is working with everyone as a team !! oohk gr8 confusion!! They were in a bit of shock due to
my sudden appearance :).I got introduced to many people and got my account after a while ,so that I can log in to the systems to do something.I really liked
the work scenario at the company ,it looked something like egoless approach in software engineering :).

The weeek passed like in a wink and weekend came with an opportunity to learn the live broadcasting of events through Vidicast .We had to go to isik
university which is one of the good private universities in istanbul and has wonderful dorms to live :).The conference took place for two days and was
something about the light houses and their importance in the history. The event was live broadcasted on the internet for two days and i got to learn
the whole procedure. We spent our evenings in the small town called sile which is near by to the university and has mind blowing sightseeings.I finally got
to see the bridge which connects Asia and Europe as isik university and sile is on the asia side of the country. The place in evening has astonishing environment
to have nargile or hukah. The Go karting added more fun to the evenings there.Last but not the least i took one lesson of driving with my shaky hands, but it
was good enough to give me the encouragement to learn it more.I got to try different kind of cuisines here which were vry good. The place makes me feel
eager to know more about the place ,people and their culture.I hope that i have more fun and good work waiting for me in coming weeks.
